LSBA Regions

LSBA Regions are determined by the first 2 digits of your zip code for Texas Residents.

Below are the LSBA Regional Representatives for each LSBA Region. These representatives are members of the Executive Council.

Region 75

Will Rigby | bowhuntertex@yahoo.com

My love for the outdoors started when I was a young boy going hunting and fishing with my dad and grandpa.  Nothing is better than enjoying God’s creations from a tree stand. I am married and have a beautiful daughter who also enjoys hunting and fishing. I am a full time Construction Safety and Health professional and served in the Marine Corp.  I joined the LSBA in 2003 or 2004 and became more involved in about 2009 as an area rep. The main reason I joined is to help introduce kids into archery. I do hunt with any legal means, but archery is my passion.

Region 76

Scott Johnson | sjohnson@sostexas.com |  817-713-1756

I have been happily married for 23 years to my bride, Kelly Johnson.  She has given me two sons, twins, Josh & Jared.  We live in Arlington, Texas.  I have worked for Southwest Office Systems as a District Sales Manager for the last 23 years.

I received my first BEAR compound bow when I was 16 years old.  I loved the experience of shooting a bow.  I have shot a compound now for over 25 years.  I have recently moved to the direction of Traditional archery.  I love the simplistic feel of a recurve or long bow.  No sights, no wheels.  Very hard, but I love the challenge.  I actively hunt with archery, but I do play in the other side as well.  I have been a member of Cowtown Archery, Irving Bowhunters, LSBA as well as Texas Bowhunter.  I love archery and I love helping the kids and adults alike learn it.

I am one of the current LSBA Regional 76 reps.  I have only been in this position for less than a year, but I’m excited about the direction of the organization.  I look forward to meeting some of you.

Sean Tenery | stenery@aol.com

Married to Karen Tenery for 25 years and have 2 boys, Garret Tenery (21) and Hunter Tenery (16). Owner at Metro Sprocket and Gear, Inc. We manufacture gears and sprockets for oil industry as well as mining industry. I have been hunting and fishing my whole life. Dad bought me my first bow when I was 11-12 years old. Never got serious about archery till 1995, practiced and got to where I felt comfortable hunting game animals, finally connected on my first deer in 1998. Almost exclusively archery hunt now. Been a member of the LSBA organization for 8-9 years, and ran for EC of 76 area this last election. Looking forward to helping everyone get the LSBA numbers back up and help introduce new people to archery and archery hunting.

Region 77

Norman (Clark) Peterson | clarkpeterson@hotmail.com | 979-758-1547

I work for Kinder Morgan in Process Safety Management. Live in Altair, Colorado County, Texas – about 70 miles west of Houston. I have been bowhunting since 1978. I have hunted all over the state but mostly in Colorado county.  I have hunted bear in Canada and elk and mule deer in Colorado. I have been a member of Lone Star Bow Hunters Association(off and on) since 1981. I don’t plan on there being any more off time away from this organization again as long as am breathing. I am very honored to be a part of the LSBA and serve the members of region 77. There is a very energetic group of men and women over seeing the business of the LSBA and I foresee a great future for archery and bow hunting in this great state of ours. Thank you for allowing me to serve you through the LSBA.

2nd Representative: Vacant

Region 78

Tomme Actkinson | tomme@actkinson.net

I started out as an October bowhunter and would switch to rifle in November.  Sometime in the early 80s I switched to bowhunting only. I joined LSBA around 1991.  In 1996 I came on the EC as treasurer, since then I’ve been the Region Rep for 76 and also 78.  I was LSBA President in 2000, 2001, and 2004.  In 2003 I started the Hunt Committee and we started doing Fellowship hunts ever since.  I’ve been on the EC for most of the last 21 years and in that time I’ve seen a lot of good people work hard to preserve and promote bowhunting in Texas.  LSBA is an organization we can all be proud of.  Having said that, someone reading this needs to take my place,  I’m coming off of the EC next year so I can go hunting and fishing full time.  See you in the woods.

Chris Simek | chrissimek75@gmail.com | (512) 739-1570

Ever since Chris was old enough to accompany his dad on dove hunts in eastern Williamson County, he’s been in love with hunting, fishing and the outdoor lifestyle. Chris picked up a bow when he was eleven and started flinging arrows. After a long hiatus, he picked it up again after college, and has not looked back. Chris has had the opportunity to hunt in several western states and Africa. When he’s not going after game, he’s going after foam at some local 3D event. Chris has been a member of LSBA for several years, and in 2017 he became a district representative. He’s also a member of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Chris, his wife (Denise) and his son (Brody) live in Spicewood, TX.

Region 79

Dave Johnson | westtxhunter@yahoo.com | (432) 413 1425

Dave Johnson. I started bowhunting in 2002 and was hooked immediately. I spend most of my free time outdoors in running, hiking, biking or hunting. I have been a licensed Nursing Facility Administrator for the past 22 years and have served as the administrator of various Healthcare Facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities in central and west Texas.

Mickey Estep | estepmd@gmail.com

Mr. Estep is currently serving as one of two District 79 Reps for the LSBA which includes West Texas and the Panhandle.  He has been married to his wonderful wife Dana for 26 years, and raised two boys Wesley and Blake.  He has bow hunted for approximately 40 years.  He has been a youth 4-H Archery coach for the last 10 years and is a Level III NTS Archery Coach for USA Archery and operates a Junior Olympic Archery Development Club in West Texas.  He has bow hunted in many places across the United States and has been lucky enough to share his experiences with his youngest son Blake who is also an avid bowhunter.

At Large

 Andy Thomas | hoghunter2@gmail.com

My passions in life include God, my family, hunting, and fishing.  I started rifle hunting at the age of 5, and I started bow hunting at the age of 9.  As soon as I killed my first deer and hogs at the age of 9, I was “ruined”.  I have been very fortunate to see a lot of changes in the archery world in the past 24 years, and look forward to being a part of introducing the next generation to the sport.
