Default Help Needed With Youth Archery in East Texas

[color=green:ff8e9fd418]I received a voice mail from the Girl Scout Council wanting help with a Jamboree they are holding this weekend at Martin Creek State Park south of Longview. They want to include archery as part of the program. Right now they have 75 girls scheduled to be there. I have the Genesis bows, arrows and targets to do this event but need help. I would really like one of our bowhunting ladies to be there to show the Girl Scouts that women bowhunt too. I don

Bob - The scene in my camp...Mom's working and Daddy's keeping the kiddo away from her so she can get some work done this weekend. I worked 15 days straight, then went to NASCAR last Sunday and right back to work routine...so sending her to Grandma's is not really an option for me either.

But, if I can figure out a way to take her with me (and still be productive), I would be willing to help out.

It will be a long day with traveling back and forth and doing the event. Let me know if you want to try it.

Too bad we didn't get a little more notice. Would have loved to help out with this, but have unchangable plans now. Thanks for your hard work Bob.

Could we start a historical date book that would let us know when these things come up? By this, some of you already know when the big hunting shows occur, but many on the EC don't have a clue. We are getting more and more requests. Might be worthwhile to start a book of approximate dates of things like the EXPO, the Athens and Corsicana events, shows in the major metroplexes, sportsman's alliance events, large scouting events, etc. Have to figure out how to do it and make it available, but if we did this we would only be surprised once.

Also, for those who did surprise us, we might let them know that we'd love to help, but need the notice and to put us on their Calendar for next year and please get to us earlier. Just a suggestion.
