Default Turkey wing

I love mine. I made my own 12 or more years ago!!!
I use it early in the morning when I am set up on a roosted gobler. When he gobles and lets me know where he is I try to set up with in 100 yards, 50 if I can.
I settle in, get confortable and give him a soft tree yelp with a slate of mouth call. If he answers with a goble he knows where I am. I do not call again untill I hear him fly down. If I am to far or its to windy to hear, I wait untill I think he is on the ground.
At that time I use the wing!!! I will give him a few louder yelps followed by a fly down cackle while flopping the wing as if I am a hen getting off the roost. I follow that with a few more aggressive yelps and clucks.
I use a mouth call for all of this.
If the "plan" works, the gobler will come on in with little else. I love it when they cant stand it and come running in only stopping to goble.
If he has hens with him, I use the wing again to scrape the ground so as to sound like a hen scratching as she feeds. I through in some purrs with it.
That will do two things, bring in the hens that will drag in the gobbler, or just bring in the gobler. Seems to settle them down.
That all works in the middle of the day sometimes also.
I carry every kind of call there is and several versions of each kind. I change calls like a fisherman changes lures. You just never know what any given bird will like at any given time.
I also use decoys, one hen and one jake. When bowhunting I ALWAYS place the jake closest to me and facing towards me. The gobler will usually come to him and get in his face. That will place him with his back to you. That will let you draw and place the perfect bow shot.
GOT-A-LOVE-IT!!!
