Default LSBA SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS

I have alot of magazines (bowhunting) that I give to the public library all of the time. Dena told me about some place that I could mail my magazines to and they would send them out to our troops overseas. I was thinking that this could be a good thing for LSBA to do to help show our support for our troops. It could just be a one time mail out. Find a couple of different locations for members to send their mags to in the state, and then LSBA could ship them overseas to our troops. Maybe put in some LSBA stickers in with the mags and other info about the LSBA and let them know that we support them. Just another one of my thoughts.

Lets not drop the ball on this one, can someone find the right address to send the magazines so our troops get them.

If the EC folks want to bring them to the next EC Meeting, at our home, we'll be glad to box and ship them. Likewise for any members that want to get them to a regional rep or anyone going to the Buffalo Field Regional Shoot on the 8/9th.

www.tradamerica.com was featured in the magazine a few issues back. An article by Chip Green. A great guy BTW, I hunted with him back in April.

Contact Chip and see if they can help. ???

Great idea, Bobster!!!

I have just received an email from a soldier in Afghanistan indicating his troops could use the magazines. I also have another contact through the Texas State Archery Association. The soldiers have set up an archery club in Iraq known as The Steel Snake Archery Club. I am forwarding the address info to Mike.

Get your magazines to your representatives or someone on the EC so they can get them to Mike at the next EC meeting.

Well I was wondering if this would go anywhere. Looks like a couple of area reps are interested, but do not see any signs of a EC. Figured this would be laid to rest like other ideas. If this does happen, I think it will be a postive thing for the LSBA. When is the EC meeting so that members can get their mags to their reps in time, or maybe go to the EC meeting? Did anyone post the idea on the other website to let others know about it?

The EC meeting is July 8th at 9:00 a.m. Any type of hunting mags will be accepted. I'll be more than happy to take yours for you, Bobster!

Like Mike said, there is also an LSBA Regional Shoot at Buffalo Field Archery July 8th and 9th. I will be attending the shoot and happy to take magazines. They can be sent to the LSBA address at:
