Sorry Mike. Didn't see this till today. Been busy back teaching.

Had a great time, but no venison. I fell in with three rednecks from Beaumont. Since I speak pretty good redneck, we fit right in.

They killed a cull nine point and a doe. I was going to whack the first big doe that came out, but while I saw a couple of doe and two spikes they weren't that big.

Highlight was coming out one night I saw the three of them circling through the woods and cactus looking for a deer. Story was "Hit it right behind the shoulder, but wasn't a pass through." Of course I had to help track. After three hours stumbling around through the thorns and thorn bushes not a speck of blood. Reason was apparent when the buck walked past his stand the next morning and he actually hit him that time.

I'm probably going back to the Lincoln next year.
