Awesome hunt indeed! Having hunted for quite some time in Arkansas (I think I have kin in every town in that state!!) folks would be surprised at the number of bear there (and here in Texas). The numbers are steadily growing and the hunting for bear will steadily grow as well! The areas you were hunting are quite well from Hot Springs up towards Jonesboro; but as you head more northerly-centrally, keep an eye out for mountain lions as their sightings are increasing wonderfully too!
