Prayers Needed for Carrie Jetton, LSBA Secretary
Please keep Carrie Jetton in your prayers. She is the wife of LSBA President, Jack Jetton (Doublej) and she serves as Secretary. Carrie is undergoing surgery for breast cancer this morning. Fortunately, she caught it early due to her commitment to get yearly mammograms performed. She has already undergone one surgery, but the biopsy revealed three different types of early stage breast cancer. After her surgery today, the doctor plans on putting her on medication for five years. At this point, it does not look like she will have to have any radiation or chemo, which is a good thing.
Carrie is one of the kindest and sweetest people I know. She has been strong and has had a positive outlook since she was diagnosed. In fact, we all went on a bowfishing trip together the week after she found out and she shot her first gar!
Please keep Carrie, Jack and the Jetton family in your prayers. Let this be a reminder of the importance of early detection and encourage your wife, mother, sister, daughter or any female in your life to have yearly mammograms done!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes. They worked! Carrie's surgery went ok except for one little hitch, after the surgery was done and the cosmetic surgeon began his work, the pathologist found a 7mm area of aggressive invasive cancer that had gone undetected. The surgeon was able to remove it and the reconstruction was successful. She was able to come home Thursday evening and has done remarkably well. She will be out from work for the next 6 weeks.
We can't tell you how much we appreciate the support from all of our friends.
