Default would there be any interest?

...in a copy cat Bownanza like event in the Pasadena/ Deer Park area? Not tryin to compete w/ Bownanza. I was thinkin about maybe in May.

I can reserve the pavillion at work. We have day use areas (like the ones at state parks) bbq pits, play grounds, volleyball nets, 20-50 yd outdoor archery range, pavillion with full kitchen, stage w/ sound system.

I thought if there was enough interest, we could have a wild game cook out, archery tournament and that night maybe have a jam session/ dance.

We would be able to reserve the park and be the only ones there.

Post up if this sounds like something worth putting together.

A get together in region 77 could be a good idea! Not sure how large it would be but you never know in-till you try!!

I'm in, but remember the Chester Stick Bow 2010 is set for May 15 and 16. Some of us are planning on going there.

That's a great idea guys. We should try to do one of these in every region, every year.

looks like if I have anything to do with this one, its gotta be May 15. I have no weekends in June available and will be on vacation my 2 weekends off in July. So, if we want to have a get together like this at oru pavillion, May 15 is the day.

If we get enough feed back within the next week or so, I will start puttin it together.

anybody who wants to help, please send me a pm.

Already got the boudain and crackers taken care of thanks to Landrover and Bon Fire HotWings!

Looks like we may have enough interest to do this. I will check the pavillion schedule at work. If the park is not reserved, I'm gonna request May 15th. Thats gonna be the only weekend I have til the middle of August. And it will be too hot to do it in August.

I have a neat idea (I think its neat) for an archery tournament. If you are a serious target shooter, this aint the tournament for you!

skeeter, this is a real good thing that you are putting together. I cannot say at the moment what we have going on, (other than me working) because we have a full plate this year again, but if we can be there we will and we will do what we can. Bob

Sounds like a good idea;however,May 15th does not look like a good weekend for me since I know Chester shoot and LSBA Brazoria shoot is that same weekend.

I wish we could have put a team LSBA together for Bownanza.

Sounds like there might be a couple of other LSBA youth events that weekend also. Skeeter, if you can pull this off and have a great LSBA get together, I would recommend that you go for it. If nothing else, we will help you get the word out.

pavillion is reserved the weekend of May 15th.

I guess this get together is on hold for now. As soon as I get an open date, I'll let yall know.
