Some of it I do, but these clocks are made from wooden plates that you can get a Hobby Lobby. They need to be sanded and stained but I'm not turning them. I've thought of getting a lathe, but haven't yet. I really want a lathe so I can start doing footed arrows, but that's a year or so down the road.

Really the hardest part of the clock is making the little arrows for the hands. I still haven't gotten them to a point where I'm really happy with them. I've got a few ideas and going to make a run today to see about some materials to make some points/heads that look a little better. Cutting the little feathers is also a chore that I've not gotten really good at yet either.

The hands were going to be my next question if you were making them or had found a place to get them. What and how are you making the hands? You are doing a great job, just sounds like you would like it to be a little quicker. Bob

Currently I'm making them from small dowle rods and brass tubing. I flatten down the tubing then file it to a point. Then I cut it off so the dowle inserts in like on a real arrow. It doesn't take too long to make them, I'd just like the heads to look a little more realistic. I'm going to try something in a little while and I'll let you know how it works out.

Here is my latest try at a more realistic looking arrow for the hands, what do y'all think?

Now that looks good! Would the hour and minute hand be the same except for length?

Yes they are the same except the length. The only thing I've changed is repainted the heads black. The silver didn't show up well on the back ground of the logo on the clock. Waiting for the paint to dry to see what black looks like.
