Cool . Sounds like a fun trip.

If Tinman or Timm know the phone # for a place in the DFW region that will take donations, would they please post it here and over on TBH. Had a request for a drop off point earlier today.

The processing fee is tax deductible if you itemize as is the value of the hog and the mileage. Those might help with the processing.

Hey, I resemble that remark! I'm not sure "Special" is the right word though.

Clark posted on TBH that he'd taken a hog and dropped it off at the San Marcos location and Cathy from Hunter harvest said that another had been taken by Jeremy in the Winnsboro area. So we have two in the freezer and are counting. Anyone else got one yet? We need a total here!

Also Cathy from Hunter Harvest has done a nice right up on the project and given LSBA credit for the project. Here's her write up.

Hams for the Hungry

Sponsored by Lone Star Bowhunters Association

Hams for the Hungry is a project of Lone Star Bowhunters Association. LSBA has partnered with Hunters' Harvest to identify ministries feeding the hungry throughout Texas that will accept donations of skinned and quartered hogs.
Bowhunters are encouraged to set up group hunts, go to their own lease, or public lands and harvest hogs for this project. A listing of organizations that accept donations of skinned and quartered hogs can be found at www.huntersharvest.org. If you know of an organization that can accept this type of donations that is not listed, contact cathy@huntersharvest.org

She is really excited and pleased that we have taken on this project, so come on folks get out there and produce some pork!
