Default Lots of negative news on CNN on hunting

Since the hogzilla 2 revelation, it seems the press is picking up on the breed animals to shoot industry. Another blurb today.

http://www.cnn.com/video/player/play...on.hunting.cnn

They're starting to ban this activity as stated in the video.
1) What is LSBA's position on the Breed to shoot industry? Whitetail Breeding to game ranches
2) Is LSBA going to stand with the exotic/ranch shooting industry?

Do not want to argue about it, just want a position statement from the organization so I am aware of what the EC's position is. It won't take CNN long to get to whitetails. We should have a position statement ready.

Many THX

I can't speak for LSBA but I don't see the difference in breeding cattle or hogs for slaughter. What difference does it make how they are slaughtered?

I agree, dead is dead. That would be a interesting question to pose, though. I never pursued that train of thought....

Are Deer/Exotics/Game animals any different from Beef Cows and hogs in terms of being a commercial food source and that the byproduct revenue of killing them yourself an added benefit.

I've always said that a hypocrite is someone who eats meat yet opposes hunting...Is it hypocritical to differentiate killing methods for different species..ya got me thinking...

As another EC member, I can't imagine we would have a postion one way or the other. The sole purpose of the LSBA is to unite the state's
bowhunting sportspeople to work toward a common goal of preserving and promoting the sport of bowhunting in Texas.

Default Another CNN Hunting Video-This time OK!!!

Make a wish foundation. Granted a boy his dream of harvesting a bear. He died on the plane ride home in his dad's arms with a BIG grin on his face.

No PC stuff this go round.

Wow......I AM suprised. But this is 3 hunting articles in 3 weeks!

As a thick headed hillbilly twice removed I think hunting is hunting and ranching is ranching. The two should not be confused with each other. However, shooting feral hogs is always fun and a good scrimmage before the real game. Good eating too. :P
