Damaged Trophies
Boone & Crockett Club has recently modified their policy as to accepting damaged trophy materials as part of the measurement of horns , antlers, skulls that HAVE NOT been REPAIRED PRIOR to final scoring
What this means is for example; you harvest a nice buck, recover it, and while preparing the animal for the trip home, you break one of the tines off. the broken tine can be included in the final scoring if it is determined "without a doubt" that this piece of material fits the damaged antlers. Any submission of trophies being entered into the TBBR under this policy will be handled "CASE BY CASE" and will be required to be examined by the TBBR Committee before final acceptance.
As required, I will introduce this policy change to the E.C. at the next council meeting for their approval as part of the TBBR policies.
