Deer season is over for another year, but "cabin fever" does'nt take long for most of us to get the itch to fling some arrows. The spring brings turkey season and the spawning season for the legal rough fish that can be taken with a bow and arrow.
Both of these are recognized in the Texas Bowhunting and Bowfishing Records System, and are eligible for the "Annual Award" for the species.
Requirements for entry are:
Turkey - Field dressed weight and picture
Fish - weight, girth, length and picture
Collect this data while in the field, and after the hunt, forms are available from the TBBR website, an"official measurer, or me. Fill out the forms, along with pictures and entry fee of $5.00 and send them in. An official measurer is not required. an accurate hand held scale may be used, except for a potential new State record, then a certified scale must be used to weigh the entry.
