This is why we have a Bowhunter Defense Fund which is separate from the regular treasury.

It's time for people to step up and be heard.

It is extremely arrogant of them to announce their intention to ban bowhunting. They are confident that bowhunters are too weak to prevent this. They are well organized at the national level and well funded. It will take a tremendous effort by bowhunters at the grass roots level to fight this.

All current members of the LSBA need to get the word out to every bowhunter that its time to join the LSBA and help us fight this.

I agree 100% with Beleg on this. I also think it's important that we help support people in other states with money and letters when their seasons are threatened.

I have heard several differences in the lsba but if there was ever a time to forget our differences in the organization its now as beleg says we must stand together and fight for our god given right to hunt the way we chose  < bowhunting is our passion so lets protect it> Beleg if you see any further info please post it!!!!! or at least the web site.

I receive regular news releases by email from the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, as many here do. We all need to keep our eyes and ears open for attacks from the animal rights folks. You never know where its coming from.

There will always be differences among LSBA members. Bowhunters are a cranky lot and love to argue. I don't believe you could go to deer camp and announce that the sun will rise in the East as it always has, without someone wanting to state a difference of opinion.

Having said that, I don't know of any bowhunters who do not agree that groups like PETA, the HSUS and Fund for Animals are groups that we need to oppose at every opportunity.
