Default Brushy Hills Hunt

Well want to say "Hi!" first as I am new to the LSBA, thanks to Tomme. Went on my first bow hog hunt at Brushy Hills this weekend and had a great time. Rusty was a great guy to be around and full of information on where to hunt. He put all of us on hogs. Needless to say I didn't bring home the bacon, but I got to see hogs and deer and lots of other wildlife. I didn't think it would be as exciting to shoot a hog as it is a deer, but it was. My heart was racing and my fingers shaking! It was fun and I learned alot in this short time span. I look forward to going back this year. We hunted the hog haven area which was huge. Would like to go back and check out the other two properties that make up all of Brushy Hills. Thanks again to Pete and Rusty for showing us a great time. Its experiences like this that will keep me going back. I am also relatively new to bowhunting and have learned a few things on the website already to help improve my skills.

Glad you guys saw hogs. I'm still waiting for a report from Gerald. Guess I'll have to get on him about that.

Heck all this talk about hogs has got me excited. I may have to call Pete up for an August hunt. (Make that an August night hunt).

Default Brushy Hills Hunt

Hello everyone,

My name is Gerald and I am a new member of LSBA. I would like to take this time to share our hunting trip experince at Brushy Hills this past weekend. First I would like to thank Tomme for jumping through so many hoops for our hunting group. I would also like to thank Pete and Rusty for a wonderful time at Brushy Hills Ranch. Rusty I am just now getting over my hangover.

I have not had time to get the pictures of the trip developed. I can say that there is no pictures of hogs taken. Two hogs were shot during this trip and one pass through. After tracking the two hogs that had been shot and seeing the arrows that hit the hogs I am a firm believer that there are hog medics in the field. Everyone in our group got to see wildlife every night including plenty of hogs. We will return back to Brushy Hills Ranch to hunt again very soon.[/quote]

gday, glad to have you guys in the association, and from the medic comment, you fit right in with the rest of us....hope to see you on future fellowship hunts.

PS...don't brag on tomme to much, he is a great guy but we want to keep him humble....

Too late...Wait a minute, humble is my middle name.

Gerald, glad you guys had a good experience. Any hunt is a good one in my books, but there's something mighty fine about a hog hunt at Brushy Hill.
