Youth Archery at Liberty Fest
The LSBA set up our youth archery range at Liberty Fest in Farmers Branch this Memorial Day weekend. This is the second year for Liberty Fest and we have been there both years.
We had 265 kids and their families come through our youth archery range. As always, we never charge a thing to shoot with us and no one is too young or too old to give it a try. They all left with a smile on their faces and a positive impression of bowhunters and archery.
Thanks go to Timm Getts, Steven Blake, Mike Harr, Luke Leissner, and Khalid Hassan for volunteering to help kids safely fling a few arrows at 3D targets and balloons.
(In the last picture we had just finished setting up the range and The National Anthem was being sung in the distance. You can see the large U.S. Flag through the trees. We uncovered our heads and stood facing the flag. A DART train was passing at the same time. I had my camera set on time lapse on a tripod)
