Default Javelina @ Callaghan??

What ever happened to the javelina hunt that you guys use to put on at Callaghan Ranch in late winter. Me and some of my hunting buddies would sure like to get one of those types of hunts together again.

Brandon I have heard they were not putting it on anymore! Something about too many people and too many headaches!

You know, that is too bad. The last time i went i was just a little guy with my dad. It must have been like 1988 or so. I would like to find another javelina hunt like that one. Me and my dad and some pals have been talking about a hunt like that one....................

The callaghan hosts the Texas Shootout every February. I heard they were considering cancelling it though. I think Steve Shedd has something to do with it. Look for him on Texasbowhunter.com. Lot of people go on that hunt.

Brandon, LSBA was never directly involved in running that hunt, though some fairly well known LSBA folks (i.e. Ron Collier) were instrumental in starting it up.

I'd love to have an LSBA javelina/hog hunt in Feb if we could find a big ranch that we could do it on. I'd like it to be for a reasonable price (say in the $65/day range) and it would be nice if we could do the organization and work of setting it up and in return get to keep a part of that for the treasury.
