Buffalo Hunts Cheap $895

I was at this ranch last week to shoot a Black Buck and he had good size buffalos with Big Heads and Good Horns. For only $895 and that was the total cost lodging and everything. It was the Smart Ranch on highway 41. Unbelieveable price right there. Also had some damn fine Black Buck for $1,300.

I looked at their website, but it doesn't have any information about the size of the ranch. How big is this place?

Are you sure it was on 41?

There used to be a Smart Ranch on Hwy 46 outside of Moutian Home. If this is the same one then I would be leary. I know when he first started out he got a bad name for himself with advertising stuff he did not have.

I have a buddy who used to guide on a ranch down the road from them, and he has told me some stories on the guy who owns it.

Glad you had a good expiernece with the ranch, maybe he has turned himself around.

Yeah its Highway 41. My ranch is 5 miles from his. Hell of a nice guy he had some good animals (Axis,Fallow,Black Buck), but that price on those buffalos was the lowest I have ever seen. If you were in the market for a buffalo thats the place. He had a bunch of Catalina goats from 25-28 inches for a $100 and had some decent rams for $250. I'll give the place a 2 thumbs up.

Kyle, do you have anymore info on the place. If there is not a website, it would be hard for someone to make the drive up that way and find out that he is booked for that time. More info if you can get it. Thanks, Bob

Man, I didn't know this guy was still going. He has a very bad reputation with many people. This guy has done so much B.S. in the past that it would be hard for me to pay him to hunt. I don't know how it is now but just from the things that happened a few years ago, I would be hesitant. Maybe things are changed though.
