Good Post BARanch. While I adamantly oppose the inclusion of crossbows in the archery season except for those stipulations in the current regulations, I feel things got way out of hand on TBH. The LSBA has made major inroads with the TBH community of late and membership drives there have helped our numbers get back above 1,000 members. We have signed up the founder/owner and many of the moderators during that time. I feel this situation can only take from those gains.
As a long time poster on TBH, I have learned (the hard way) that there are some arguments best left off the debate table. The eventual escalation of emotions on subjects like high fences, expandable broadheads and the like always lead to the same place, a divided house filled with hurt feelings. Being in the LSBA puts a spotlight on all of us that may not be wanted but is nonetheless there. While I believe we should all support the principles that we hold dear, there is a fine line between conviction and ideal overkill. Pushing any argument past the point of practical explanation puts the audience on edge and drives the reader past the simple point of
