We went back to the lease last Friday, and I was lucky enough to take this 'management buck' the owner named Bear Trap due to his funky looking antlers. The shot was 18 yards, recover 'about' 90. His 'live weight' was over 260#. Needless to say, we needed help loading him into the back of the pick up.

Saturday AM was uneventful, but the Saturday PM hunt was a different story altogether. I was sitting in 'Millie's ground blind' when this wide - 8 point waltzed into a shooting lane to feed. I'd never taken a wide-8 before and just couldn't resist the 15 yard quartering shot when it was presented. We'll be heading back to D'Hanis in two weeks to begin harvesting (and donating) does - can't wait.
