I have killed 2 and have not had that problem. I am not a trophy turkey hunter. if it has a beard in the fall (or in the spring starting next year) it gets an arrow flung at it. I have perfected the chicken-fried turkey breast recipe such that I almost prefer it to chicken fried deer meat. (If you don't believe me, talk me into cooking some for you one day and you will see what I mean).
