I know what you mean. When I first heard that Meat Loaf song I thought it was disgusting. Not anywhere near what I consider good music. For some reason it stuck with me so I did a search and found it, read the bio on the guy then found it on iTunes and loaded it on my iPhone. I got some strange looks Christmas when my kids were here and I whipped it on them.
Here's another one.....I can't stand Elton John. He put out a song long ago that got my attention....it haunted me. I didn't know who sang it or even the title but I remembered some of the lyrics. I did an extensive search and found it! (The only reason I ever heard it in the first place was it was a hit when the kids were young) .......
(pretty sad for a country music lover lol)
