This is my first purchased bow from the late '60s. It hasn't been abused except for the camo paint job I put on it. The camo paint job hides the original finish in all areas.

It has not been shot since the mid '70s.

My concern is in regards to glue line separation in a couple areas on the riser and wood/glasss lamination. The places are barely visible and are not longer then half inch or so. The separation in the paint gives the spots away.

I do not want to pull the bow back to check it out and see if it will hold or not. I built a recurve bow back in the mid '60s. It came apart on me several years later in my parent's living room as I held it at full draw.

I do not need that experience again.

Anyone have any recommendations on what to use to remove the camo paint I put on it? Since that was over 30 years ago, I have not idea what kind of paint I used. I would like to get the paint off however without removing the original finish if possible

Any suggestions anyone?
