Wondering
With all this rain, for so long, will deer still be displaced in October? How fast will the lake levels get back down?

I've found that deer, especially does, are home bodies. They don't travel far and are just aching to get back to their familiar haunts.
You may have to plan on different travel routes though. The water should be back to its normal level in no more than about 3 weeks providing the Corp doesn't have some other intention. Usually about a week and a half though. BUT, this is not an educated assessment, just my experience with the lakes I grew up with in Arkansas. Also, keep in mind I travelled a lot while in the AF and missed out on a lot. ;) |
