Best weight for 3-D

I ordered a new BW bow....60 pounds is the max and thats what I ordered....I have been using 56# for 3-D and 66# for hunting... I worry about changing anything....what do you think.... 56 or 60?

Graybow 01-19-2007 10:21 PM

Hey Buff,

I shoot a 60# recurve. I think it's one of the more perfect weights. It's not to heavy, and will take anything in North America. Congrat's on the new BW. WHat model did you get. I've never owned one, but have thought about it many times. They make some pretty ones!

Sorry, I just noticed this was for 3-D.

Here's a pic of the Golden Anniversay recurve/longbow/arrow/knife/belt-buckle. Very nice bow, Buff. I can't wait to see it myself.

Man, those are pretty!

just a short 12 weeks away

Congrats on the new bow Buff.

I'm with Graybow. I think 60lbs is a great weight for just about anything. If your back and shoulders can handle that weight for a 3-D course then go for it.

the older I get the more I fear change. I have had very good luck practicing with 56 and hunting with 66. So I went ahead and ordered it in 56
