Travel trailer

I know this isn't about bowhunting per say, I just need some input from some folks that I hope are out there with the knowledge I need. I got a 2001 Z71 Chevy PU with 5.3 engine and tow package. Will it handle towing a 3800lb. trailer with a good hitch set up? Kicker on the truck is that it has 133000 miles on it but maintained very well. Need info asap and very much appreciated in advance. Thanks. Larry

I don't have personal experience with that particular set-up, but this might help.....http://www.ehow.com/about_5516789_mu...truck-tow.html

I have almost the same vehicle and you should be fine. My RV unloaded dry weight is around 5900. Most importantly get a good hitch/weight distribution system.

Thanks skeeter!!lol I know all about the stopping part, I used to own a rock bucket and all my buddies always wanted to go FAST!! They asked me why I always held back and my response was always the same, I was more concerned with stopping all that weight when some unintelligent person felt like they just HAD to whip in front of me when their lane showed brake lights (like it wasn't going to happen in my lane).:)
