Please keep former LSBA President, Bob Wright, and his family in your prayers. His mother, Ida Mae Wright, passed away on Monday. Ms Wright sounds like quite a lady! It isn't hard to see where Bob inherited his desire to serve others.

Ida Mae Shipman Wright
1922 – 2011

Ida Mae Wright passed from this life January 24, 2011 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born October 22, 1922 in Erie, Pennsylvania to William Hardy Shipman and Jesse Pauline (Goode).

After Ida completed her education as a Registered Nurse she joined the U.S. Army and served as a nurse during World War II achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Following her service in the Army, Ida cared for the sick and injured as a Registered Nurse in various hospitals. Ida retired from nursing in 1986 after serving patients at Doctors Hospital in Dallas for over 30 years. Ida continued volunteer work until 2008.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Wright, daughter Inga Wright Barbee and great granddaughter Alyssa Belle Wright. Ida is survived by sons Talmon L. Wright and wife Carol, Robert W. Wright and wife Mary, and Laird V. L. Wright and wife Toni, grandchildren Rani Barbee, Kim Wright, Wayne Barbee and wife April, Robert Barbee and wife Tonya, Robert W. Wright Jr. and wife Sandy, Sean Hutsell, Shiloh Hutsell, Trae Hutsell and wife April, Chris Fite, and 10 great grandchildren, and numerous cousins worldwide.
