I've been working on ideas to make a really nice clock to donate for the Awards Banquet. Not yet where I'm totally happy with what I've done but it is getting better. What do y'all think?

Very Very nice, You really have some great talent Derek. How much are you going to sell those for? Bob

Bob, I'm not sure yet. This one here is going to be auctioned off tomorrow so I'll see what it brings.

Here is what I've been working on to put in the center of the I'll donate to for the Banquet.....

The circle is where I'll cut it and I'm trying to get it so that the hole for the clock comes out in the center between bowhunter and association.

Nice work Derek! I'm curious what it will bring in the auction. I bet it gets a good price!

BOBSTER 02-19-2010 08:43 PM

That is going to look great. Bob

Here is what the center of the clock I'm donating will look like. I've gotten the first layer of decoupage on the wood finished this morning.

The question I have for y'all is what you think looked better. The arrowheads all the way around the clock like my first one or arrowheads at 12, 3, 6 and 9 and then gold studs like the one above?

cool clock!

axisbuck24 02-20-2010 03:15 PM

That is going to look really nice.

BOBSTER 02-20-2010 06:52 PM

Derek, I went back and looked at the first one and they both look good each way. Will have to let you decide on that. Bob

How about larger arrowheads at 12-3-6-9 and smaller ones at all others?
Just curious....what is your arrowhead supply? Just an FYI, Tandy Leather has arrowheads at http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/s...eads&x=19&y=12

Ray I've been getting them from Black Bear Haversack. They are about the same cost, maybe a little less than tandy and really have some awesome colors in the ones I've gotten from them so far.

BTW I was really shocked at the auction this afternoon. The clock above went for $175.00 which is way more than I'd ever expected. It was a benefit for a guy that was in a bad accident and I think folks were bidding higher than they normally would have otherwise.

I thought it would go for at least $100 just looking at the picture. WTG on $175!

Here is the teaser for the LSBA Clock.......

It is still drying and is just in the first stages but you can see where it is going.

axisbuck24 02-20-2010 10:47 PM

Looking good!

BOBSTER 02-21-2010 07:35 AM

Derek, congrats on the auctioned off clock. The LSBA clock is looking good. Do you do your own wood work? Bob
