Ok, I know a few of you here have access to some planes :)

I need to fly up to Virginia to close on a good stretch of land and a small house on it! Give me a call if you want to make a road trip!

I know some guys from work who have small planes. They would probably take you for the price of the fuel...but it will still be twice as much as you could fly commerical and rent a car. Let me know, and I will get you a name and number if it will help.

Why in the world are you looking for a small, private plane to fly in? Like Chunky said, you will be eaten alive on the cost of fuel. Right now with a few weeks notice you can buy a commercial plane ticket for less than $250 round trip. Unless you think its cool to fly in on a private plane, you may want to just do it the old fashion way.

Yep they are right. You can fly on a commercial carrier cheaper than you can in a private plane and besides there are regulatory limitations that have to be observed if someone took you. Just beware.
