Food Plot?

I just purchased some land and was wantng to start a food plot and was wondering what was the way to go to have a plot that would provide year round forage. Its about 3/4 acre rectangular area with several red oaks within on the edge of a 24 acre hay meadow. It is next to type two property with a small pond.
