Rules for: The Annual “5K Hog and JavelinaTournament”! The tournament will he held on 5,000 acres in south Texas. This is an archery contest only. There are only 20 entries available total. All hunters will be counted as one entry. 1st/2nd/3rd prizes will be awarded for the largest Feral hogs and same for Javelinas. All TexasParks & Wildlife laws, restrictions, and limits will apply. Valid hunting licenses are required. The cost for the 3 ½ days and nights is $250 per hunter, with a $150 non-refundable deposit to guarantee your spot. The $100 balance will be upon meeting @ ranch the Morning of Tournament date. The hunting site is approximately 200 miles south of Austin on I35, then west on the Camino real toll road. We will be meeting Thursday, Feb 5th or Thursday Feb 12th at 8 a.m. The meet up location will be at FM 1472.(Webb county) You will be responsible for packing in everything that you need to survive for 3 ½ days and nights. We do have RV hookups to include Water and electricity Campsites also available. (All included in your Entry fee) Hunting is allowed from the time that we pull into the ranch until 10 a.m. Sunday morning. Contest Rules:
Necessary/ recommended items to bring:
BE AWARE: THERE ARE NOT STORES WITHIN 40 MILES OF THE RANCH. DO NOT PLAN ON BEING ABLE TO LEAVE DURING THE HUNT TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES. Allowed:
Not Allowed:
You will be held responsible for your own and your guests’ behavior. You will be required to leave for unacceptable behavior. Hunting is inherently dangerous: by entering the ranch you will be held accountable/responsible for any accidents, damages, and injuries that occur within your party. We expect everyone to arrive and leave at the same time. Any deviations will disrupt my hunt, and if you are late getting to meeting place or packed up ready to leave @noon on Sunday then you will be holding up the rest of the hunters. so this is on an emergency basis only and you will not be allowed re-entry to the ranch. We will all be exiting the ranch together at noon on Sunday, so please be packed and ready to go. This is an awesome place to hog hunt. And even if all 20 spots are filled with 5000 acres they is plenty of room. I have hunted this area for many years, and have always had success and made good friends. I can be reached at 512-203-0495 or by email at homecrafters1@austin.rr.com Any questions or concerns please feel free to give me a call. Sincerely, Rick Gilchrist |
FYI 9 spots left for Feb 5th and 16 left for Feb 12th!!!!

So no tripods?
|
There is no Bow hunters on ranch so they have no tripods set up. And to bring yours would be ok but with 3 1/2 days of hunting you are taking a gamble that you picked the right spot. Up to you.
