Reaching Out (Looking for AMC Jeep Motor)
 

I am hoping that someone can give me some infomation on where I might be able to locate a used AMC motor for my 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (Hunting Vehicle). I had someone rebuild the engine for me, but before they were able to get it back into the jeep, Hurricane IKE took it out. The motor was at a different location and the jeep was here at the house. The motor was drowned in about 6 feet of water. I really do not want to buy a rebuilt one if I can find a used one that has been pulled out and is in good running condition. Anyone know of a good salvage yard in the Houston area that would have or could locate one. I have found some in PA, but not sure how to get it shipped down here. Thanks, Bob
