QAD fall away problems?

Has anyone else had problems with the vanes clearing the rest? The rest does not seem to fall quick enough for me. Any help? Thanks

I use VBG fall aways on my bows. I know you have to have the cock vane up on those. If you are anywhere near Farmersvile, I would highly recommend taking your bow to see Fay at North Texas Archery.

Cohorn I have had some problems with vanes touching but when I went to blazers and turn the cock vane up I did not have anymore problems. Also mine is an older style Qad and I hear that they increased the spring tension on the new rest.

Here you go Lost might work on that longbow! ;)

Well, Brad, I've just seen "QAD" around a bit, just never got around to finding out what it is. It might work on my recurve, but I doubt my longbow would shoot slow enough for it. :D

Seriously, thanks. I was just wondering.

I've not had any problems. However, I cut about 1/2" off of both the rest arms (the vertical ones) leaving a much shorter "U". I hope that makes sense.

Then I slid the whole rest aft quite a bit so that the "U" does not hit the riser shelf. I seem to have no clearance issues. But, I'm only shooting about 250 fps.

Thanks for the info. I do have my cock vane up also but it still brushes the underside of the lower 2. Good idea on cutting the u shorter. Thanks again, Chris.
