Well fella's...Looks Like I'm looking for a Lease.
 

After taking a year off from hunting I'm looking for a quality lease. I'm a very management minded hunter and good at aging deer on the hoof, just will not settle for a young deer. So if anybody has a spot open on a quality lease with good folks on it, I might be interested ......

Thanks guys.....BAO is out of the question this year (Great place to hunt), but I'm looking to hunt South or out West again....

Well my search did not last long.. I found a lease (funny part of Story) Just 14 miles NorthWest of BAO, close to the town of Jean......Little over 1100 acres with what seems like some really management minded hunters. Nice camp spot with electric/water, TONS of mesquite and elevation changes and a few good stock ponds to fish in......

I'm happy its Gun or Bow, that way the kiddos can get started hunting which is a big selling point for me..

Well after talking at length to the other hunters who are all rifle hunters, who all got burned by some bad bowhunters last year(they got asked to leave), its not looking so good right now. They want to impose a bunch of stipulations on how I can hunt, basically trying to make me set-up like a rifle hunter but use a bow....Don't get me wrong they seem like a bunch of really nice guys, they just got done wrong and are protective of what they have...

I'm going to keep looking for another place...

I HATE LOOKING FOR A NEW LEASE...

I always keep an ear and eye open for leases in our area of Rocksprings because people are always asking I will let you know if I hear of anything.
