Ronny, I noticed the Sulphur covered the channel the full span of the bridge (I-20) when I crossed it Sunday. Ya reckon it worshed out the catfish? My uncle in Vasco did say the Levees have contained it so far. I know in '82 that whole area was a soggy mess when it crested the levees between Cooper and Sulphur Springs. The cops were getting ready to shut the roads down when we crossed the bridge. They had the bridge down to one lane of traffic and the cars/trucks had a wake as they crossed. Purdy cool to an 18 year old. I'd probably find an alternate route these days...

I think its stayed in the banks so far, but this ground is so wet any more big rains and who knows.
Should of stoped Sunday, I'd bought you a glass of tea.

rns,

I've got some recent pic of the Sabinal River you should see. If your truck was on the other side like last time, it would be gone! lol

Ronny 07-25-2007 09:31 PM

Yea, Rusty called me Sunday and told me about all the water. He said one of the camp houses was moved quite a ways, he can't find any feeders and it looks like most of the cows were gone down river. Water almost got to Petes house, I'll bet its a mess.

It rained here in Katy this evening. Has not rained this week, so I guess we were due..... I think the ground was getting ready to dry out!!!

The thought did cross my mind. I'll make it a point to let you know next time I come through.
