L.o.l. Three Of My Hunting Buddies Have Not Drawn This Year Either I Was In This Group This Time Last Year So Things Will Get Better.

me and jordan are leaving sat. morn early and we are not coming home until nov. 29.thats 9 days of peaceful huntin( that means my wife is not gonna be there)

I haven't drew back on anything yet this year, but I've processed 3 animals. Zach has kept me busy. I think it's my turn as shooter next trip. :D

Last year's pig...:mad:...maybe I'm getting :grandpa:?

Nothing yet. So far everything I have seen have been to young. We shall see what this weekend brings!

Not yet, but there is still a lot of hunting season left.

I have gotten two pigs and two does so far but have not seen a buck that I have even considered shooting yet. I hope it gets better soon. good luck to all who are still waiting.

October was a washout for me. The rut is about over, may be slim pickens hear on out

Only with a rifle. With a bow it was Deer 2 Deer 0, but I turned it around on them with a rifle so now it's 2 each. I know it was cheating, but I'll be bow hunting the rest of the year.

Really, if one like that would give me a shot with a bow, I'd take it too. It is going to be really rough for me up in the piney woods to let the air out of one with the bow now. They are all spooked, and this is the last weekend we can shoot doe in our county.

Heading to the lease in the morning. Little brother is there now and he is seeing a very large buck in my pasture. He's been 3 days and keeps calling to tell me about the big bucks in my pasture, Can't stand it I got to go hunting.

Very wierd year. I finally saw a doe big enough to shoot but I made a bad shot and hit her in the leg. No blood so I am sure she will be fine. I did see a nice 8 pt, high noon Saturday, out in the middle of an oat field feeding. No sign of the rut and acrons all over the place. No Axis and no hogs to be seen.

Next chance to go will be Dec 12.

Maybe it's the weird hunter!! :D

Still on the list here...had a mule deer walk right past me at less than 10 yards this evening. I was on the ground in my Shaggy Suit and she never saw me sitting there...unfortunately, does are not legal here. :(

Maybe it will happen next weekend at Hagerman!

Still no backstrip.I won a whitetail hunt in a raffal, The masonic lodge has a raffal each year to raise money for scolarships for Moody ISD.The ranch is in burnnet co. headed down there this weekend, maybe this will change my luck.

Well the deer are coming into my feeder that is surrounded by heavy cover. I have anotehr feeder that is more open and they are hitting only at night. I drew on a fair 8 point but was busted by the spike he was running with. I do have both in my cooler now. Shot them with my bang stick the next 2 days.
